Deadline miss করা ভালো না, কিন্তু freelancing-এ কখনো unexpected issue আসতেই পারে। আসল damage হয় যখন আপনি চুপ থাকেন। Client delay অনেক সময় forgive করে, কিন্তু silence forgive করে না।
Late Delivery Communication-এর ৪টা Element
- Early update: শেষ মুহূর্তে না, আগে জানানো।
- Short reason: প্রয়োজনীয় কারণ, drama না।
- New timeframe: clear time, “soon” না।
- Ownership: blame না, responsibility।
Rafi’s Note
“Sorry for delay” খুব ছোট, কিন্তু trust repair করে না। Client জানতে চায়: কী হলো, কখন পাবে, আর আপনি control-এ আছেন কি না।
Bad Message
Sorry for delay. I will send soon.
এখানে timeframe নেই। Client আরও anxious হবে।
Better Message
Hi Sarah, quick update: I am running about 8 hours behind because I am doing final checks on the mobile version. I will deliver the complete file by 10 PM today. Thanks for your patience.
যদি Delay আগে বুঝতে পারেন
Just wanted to update you early. I may need a few extra hours to finish the final checks properly. I can deliver by tomorrow morning instead of tonight. I want to make sure the quality stays right.
যদি Already Late হয়ে যায়
You’re right to expect an update. I should have informed you earlier. The work is 80% done, and I will send the final version within the next 6 hours. Thank you for your patience.
যা বলবেন না
- “I’ll try to deliver soon.”
- “Life happened.”
- বড় personal story।
- Client-এর কারণে blame, যদি সেটা documented না হয়।
Scope/Deadline Change
যদি client নতুন requirement add করে এবং deadline impact হয়, সেটা politely লিখুন।
The new section is doable, but it will add around one extra day to keep the quality right. Should I include it in this delivery timeline, or keep it for the next milestone?
Marketplace Note
Fiverr বা Upwork-এ deadline/milestone change দরকার হলে platform-এর official order/milestone change flow follow করুন। শুধু chat-এ বলা যথেষ্ট নাও হতে পারে।
Bangla/Banglish Script
একটা quick update দিচ্ছি। কাজটা প্রায় [percentage]% complete, কিন্তু final check-এর জন্য [time] extra লাগবে। আমি [exact time/date]-এর মধ্যে delivery দিবো। আপনার patience-এর জন্য thanks.
